Mackintosh Continues To Receive Great Coverage

Kannapolis,NC

Despite living and racing in the Southern United States, Amherst's Ryan Mackintosh has continued to receive great coverage from local newspapers, racing websites and radio back in Canada.

The 14 year old relocated to North Carolina last year and has continued to develop his skills under the direction of Chris "Woody" Woods.  Mackintosh's progress has been followed closely by Inside Track Magazine, CheckersToWreckers.com, RacingSpectator.ca, Amherst Daily News, Halifax Herald and many other publications.

Checkers To Wreckers ran the following update last week:

7/21: Amherst's Ryan Mackintosh rebounded from a wreck Saturday night to a podium finish Tuesday night at Charlotte Motor Speedway's Summer Shootout Series. Mackintosh started 19th in the feature and finished third. In spite of the Saturday wreck it's been an exciting week for Mackintosh as his North Carolina home is with Daniel Hemric - winner of the Legends Million event and as such recipient of the $250,000 first-place cheque...

Continued local coverage is very important to the team as it looks for opportunities to continue to support its sponsor Scotia Hyundai and to let everyone back in Canada know all the results of the team's efforts.

Charlotte, NC

Update from Triple Crown

Charlotte, NC

Friday's round #2 saw Ryan Mackintosh and the #03 make contact with the #2 car of Myatt Snider while passing for 2nd place. The #03 spun and had to restart in 23 position.  In the final six laps of the race the Scotia Hyundai Bandolero was able to take from the back up to finish in 6th place.

Saturday's feature saw Mackintosh start 7th after finishing 4th in his heat. The race was delayed for a few hours as rain fell in the Charlotte-Concord area. The jet dryers and scrubbers worked on the track but the race took the green flag while the track was still very wet.
