The Kangaroo Summer Shootout at Charlotte Motor Speedway will get underway the Tuesday night. Unfortunately, most race fans will not be able to make it to Charlotte to take in the action, especially fans of the #03 Scotia Hyundai Bandolero back in Canada. Eventhough fans may be not at the track they still will be able to follow every race and development from Charlotte right at home.
Some details of the Live Update Broadcast:
LegendsNation.com, the premiere source for news and information from the track to the pits for Legends Car and Bandolero racing, today announced the popular website will provide blanket coverage of the 2010 Kangaroo Express Summer Shootout Series at Charlotte Motor Speedway (NC), which includes live updates from all 10 weeks of racing action on “LN Live,” a minute-by-minute blow online of the night’s action as it happens at the track.
“Since 2007, LegendsNation.com has been covering the Summer Shootout Series with stories and news from the track,” said Jason Stix Buckley, owner of LegendsNation.com. “In 2009, for a few of the Summer Shootout events, we provided live coverage updates to the public. It was received well by the fans and by the track, so this year LN will be providing live updates throughout the entire 10 weeks of racing action, allowing those that cannot make it to the events feel like they are right there in the stands.”
The Summer Shootout Series is known across the globe and the most prestigious Legends and Bandolero series during the year. Drivers from across the country and even racers from outside the United States make their way to North Carolina to race in the 10-event series on the quarter-mile oval that traditionally begins in June. However, many friends and family members of the racers might not be able to make the journey every week this year due to the current economic climate. LN Live will step in, giving them the best access to the track action without being there.

Two 3rd Place Outlaw Finishes In Alabama
Mobile, Alabama
Friday night and Saturday night both provided the same results for the #03 Scotia Hyundai Bandolero in the Deep South.
Friday a fast car ended up in the wall in heat race after contact. The result put Mackintosh at the back for the start of the feature. The car was repaired but some handling problems made it very difficult for Mackintosh to make up any ground on the eventual race winner Joey Padgett. Mackintosh was able to bring the Bandolero Outlaw home in third.
Saturday the "Race For Glory" ended the same way for Mackintosh with just a little twist from Mother Nature. Mackintosh ended up being turned and had to work his way from the back after running 5th. The #03 came from the back and worked its way back to 3rd in the Outlaw division and was going to make a move for second when the sky opened up and the red flag came out. Another 3rd and a top 3 finish in an INEX National Qualifier.

Fast Car, Good Run and Nothing to Show
Concord, NC
The #03 Scotia Hyundai Bandolero dissappers below the #4 in Turn 3 at Concord. The front left fender of the #03 is visible just past the lower front portion of the #4 windshield.
The #03 Scotia Hyundai/BAMvip.com had a great start to the event Friday evening in Concord. Ryan Mackintosh had a fast car in practice and followed it up by winning the second qualifying heat of the evening to secure the outside pole for the feature.
The feature saw Mackintosh cross-over the #4 car coming out of turn 2 on the first lap and grab the inside line into 3 and 4 . The #4 car went high and tried to drop down to carry his momentum but didn't count on the #03 arriving at the same spot at the same time. Contact came as the #4 spun across the front of the Chris Woods Racing #03 which took both cars into the outside wall. Fortunately, no one was injured.
The #03 restarted the race with severe front end damage. Mackintosh took the car from the back on the restart up to 3rd and was moving quickly to the front attempting run down the cars of Reid Wilson and Ben Klatt when the damage from the lap one incident forced the officials to black flag the car. "The horns were scraping and I couldn't continue,"stated Mackintosh post race. "I am upset because we had a fast car and the start worked exactly as we had hoped. The #4 is fast and he likes the outside groove so we knew we could cross over. It is too bad how it worked out"
Crewchief "Woody" Woods said he,"can't wait until Sunday!" The primary car should be repaired on time for Sunday but Woods stated,"we have four cars sitting in the shop race-ready and another very fast car that we can put on the track with five or six hours work. I am not sure which car we should run...we will make the decision Sunday when we unload, three cars will be available for Concord."
