Team co-owner Chris "Woody" Woods was not exactly thrilled with the final result,"we worked hard tonight and we were even a better car than our finished showed."
With 4 laps to go Mackintosh was running 3rd and closing fast on John Nemechek in 2nd. "I don't think we would have been able to move on Tyler (Hill) but we sure would have had a good finish with Nemechek",commented Mackintosh from the pits after the race.
Mackintosh had moved up from his 6th place starting position and was about to move on 2nd place when the car of Quinn Fowler drove directly into the left rear of Mackintosh entering the corner. The resulting caution saw the #03 Scotia Hyundai - Powerworks Legacy car dropped to the back of the lead lap cars. Fowler and Mackintosh both started at the tail end after Mackintosh made contact with Fowler under caution.
"That's two races in a row that we have had a similar issue",stated Mackintosh about the incident referring to an contact made at Concord in the previous race. "That's not how we want to race and I am not sure what to think."
