Ryan Mackintosh will be behind the wheel of the #03 Chris Woods Racing Bandolero tonight at Concord Speedway as the INEX Bandolero Outlaws division continues with the Spring portion of the schedule on the 1/4 mile oval.
In five races at Concord this season, Mackintosh has recorded three top 5 finish and two DNFs. The second DNF coming in the last race with a flat tire and damaged front end suspension as a result of two ontrack incidents with cars making contact.
Mackintosh will have even more incentive to push hard tonight as the driver will be celebrating his birthday Saturday and he would like nothing more than a good finish to celebrate with.
The team will travel to Rockingham on Sunday to race twice to complete the Spring Fling Series schedule. Mackintosh has two third place finishes in his two trips to Rockingham so far this season.

So Close at Hickory
Hickory,NC
The front row of the field warms up before the green at Hickory Motor Speedway.
The #03 Chris Woods Racing Bandolero had another great run at Hickory Motor Speedway. The INEX Bandolero series was on the card tonight with the INEX Legends and the Super Late Models of the PASS series.
Mackintosh started the feature outside of Row 1 and got stuck outside at the start of the race. Shuffled back to 4th Mackintosh had to dig hard to push his way back to second. The next 10 laps had Mackintosh locked to Reid Wilson's bumper with the #92 car able to open up no more than a car length at any time. The white flag lap had both cars battle into turn three and head for home tight out of turn 4. Mackintosh pushed hard but was only able to get up to the door of the #92 and had to settle for second on the night.
Ragan, Papis, Rowe, Sommerville, Elliott, Blaney and Ruston were just some of the notable teams in the pits with the Chris Woods Racing team at Hickory.
Mackintosh will be back in action Friday night at Concord Speedway after enjoying a short break for Easter.

DNF at Concord Speedway
Concord,NC
After a dissappointing heat finish Ryan Mackintosh, driving the Chris Woods Racing #03, had to start the feature in 7th position.
Mackintosh was able to make his way to the front in first two laps and ran in second position for four laps behind race leader Adam Nelson prior to an ontrack incident which saw him wedged up to the wall. The front end suspension was damaged and Mackintosh began to back up as he struggled with the car. Another incident saw Mackintosh turned and having to restart at the back of the field, the final one caused the rear left to go flat and ended the evening.
The team was certainly dissappointed in the events of the Friday night race at Concord but they were looking forward to Hickory on Saturday.

Another Top 5 finish
Concord, NC
The #03 Chris Woods Racing Bandolero started the feature outside of row 2. Mackintosh drove briefly up to 2nd place before the throttle began to stick going into turns 1 and 3.
Mackintosh could not hold the line in the corners and gave back two positions before settling into 4th place. With two laps to go the issue occured again causing the #03 to spin and catch a piece of the inside curb before the driver was able to gain control of the car.
The final finishing position for the #03 ended up being fourth. The finishing order, 30 minutes after the race, was still in question.
Sunday's event at Rockingham has been cancelled due to projected bad weather.

Friday Night Recap-2nd at Concord

Ryan Mackintosh started on the pole in the first heat of the evening but an incident on track spun both Mackintosh and #20 Riley Halverson and sent both to the back under caution. After the race Mackintosh took full responsibility for incident. "I thought I was clear, it was 100% my fault", he stated in the Chris Woods Racing hauler. Mackintosh was able to come from the back and capture the heat to take the pole for the Bandolero Outlaw feature.

Mid-Week Update
